Potash reported record first-quarter earnings of $732 million or $0.84 per share, a 71% increase over EPS of $0.49 earned in the same period last year. The company generated revenues of $2.2 billion during quarter compared with $1.7 billion a year ago. Continued strong demand and higher fertilizer prices helped PotashCorp record gross margin of $1.1 billion, well above the $729 million in the year ago quarter.
